2026 Peach Update:

Our peach trees are working hard, but because we have a lighter crop load than normal this season, our team will be hand-harvesting all of the peaches to make sure our Farm Store, Beach Store, local Farmers Markets, and Farm Box Program stay fully stocked. Stop by for plenty of pre-picked peaches all summer long at the farm! 🍑

If the trees surprise us and we are able to open up a special U-Pick peach weekend later this summer, we will post about it right away. Be sure to follow our FB page and sign up for our e-newsletter so you're the first to know!

In the meantime, we have plenty of fun on the farm with U-Pick Blueberries, U-Pick Sunflowers, and U-Pick Zinnias open right now! 🌻

Plus, our 🍎U-Pick apples will be ready to harvest later this summer.

Our U-Play Activities are also OPEN daily for family fun.

*Make sure to check our FB page for daily weather/crop updates. Activity hours do change based on Mother Nature.*

Here is our ultimate Peach Guide & FAQ! 👇

⏱️ Semi-Cling vs. Freestone

• Right Now: We are harvesting semi-cling peaches.

• Starting in a week or two: Our true freestone varieties will begin.

• Taste Check: The flavor is very similar for both! The only difference is that the pit pops out easier on freestone varieties, which is handy if you are canning or freezing in large batches.

🛟 Why are the peaches firm?

We pick all of our peaches tree-ripened but still FIRM. This is intentional. It protects the delicate fruit from bruising on its journey from the tree to your kitchen table.

😋 How to properly soften your peaches at home:

• DO NOT REFRIGERATE: Keep firm peaches at room temperature on your kitchen counter. Putting them in the fridge confuses the natural softening process.

• The "Towel Sandwich" Method: To soften them to perfection, lay your peaches stem-side down on a breathable kitchen towel. Make sure they aren't touching each other! Cover them with a second towel to trap their natural ripening gases. Check on them every 24 hours—it usually takes a couple of days to reach peak juiciness. Patience is a virtue.
